Day Two

January 8, 2011.  The first day of the rest of my life.  That's the day I got the DSLR, and my life changed.  All for the better, I might add.  I'd been shooting with an Olympus point-and-shoot that you could change the settings on, but you couldn't change lenses, and manual focus was next to impossible.  But the minute I got the Canon home, I put it on manual, and I haven't looked back.

Day one.  Horribly overexposed because I forgot to check my light meter.  Oops!

Day five.  Overcompensating for overexposure.  Oops!

Day seven.  I think I might be getting the hang of this.

Day eight.  Freehand.

We're off and running!
